Ted has always had an appreciation for a comfortable, working saddle since childhood. After learning the art of proper repair by restoring innumerable saddles, Ted began the pursuit of saddle making. After making several nice saddles, he applied for and received a TCAA (Traditional Cowboy Arts Association) scholarship in 2006 and spent a week with Steve Mecum in Crowheart, Wyoming.
A vast amount of knowledge was obtained and still appreciated and utilized here in the shop. However, the best teacher has been experience. The ongoing motive to continually fine tune the process and make each saddle better than the last is the driving force here. Whether it be carving and design, ground seat perfection, or smooth, flowing lines that are pleasing to the eyes, Ted is constantly trying to improve his skills for each valued customer.
Ted has achieved recognition for his superior craftsmanship and artistry.
